The short version: candidate data belongs to candidates. We collect only what recruitment needs, we never sell data, every background check needs your signed consent, and you can export or delete your data by emailing one address.

1. Who we are

kazily is a recruitment applicant tracking system (ATS) operated by GRSL Recruitment Ltd ("kazily", "we", "us"), registered in Kenya and based in Nairobi. We are registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) as a data controller and data processor under the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya) ("DPA").

5. Background checks & consent

No background, reference, credit or criminal-record check is initiated through kazily until you have signed the specific consent form for that check. You may withdraw consent at any time before the check is conducted by emailing ops@kazily.africa.

Deletion of compliance records (consent logs, tax invoices) is subject to statutory retention and, inside agency workspaces, deletion of candidate records requires approval by the agency's lead recruiter — an accountability control, not a barrier to your rights.

Primary hosting is in cloud regions serving Kenya. Where a processor stores data outside Kenya, transfers rely on contractual safeguards approved under DPA s.48–49.
